Born in Goa, Prof. Noel Flores studied piano in Goa under the local teachers then proceeded to Madrid, gaining a certificate with distinction. Further studies at the University of Music in Vienna, having won a scholarship from the Gulbenkian foundation, gaining a Diploma for concert-playing with distinction; won prizes in international competitions. Since 1979 Prof. Flores leads a class for piano  at the University in Vienna. He is often a jury member in international competitions for piano in Austria, Germany, Israel and
Italy. He holds master classes in Vienna, Finland, Sweden and Japan.

The tracks were recorded nearly half a century ago by Goan musicians and singers led by Prof Noel Flores and that these tracks have suffered some deterioration due to transition from various recording media over the years, finally to CD, which we have received from a well-wisher Mr. Gabriel Figueredo who is the son of renowned Goan Maestro, late Prof Antonio Figueredo. Gabriel who is a top flight violinist himself, now lives in Australia with his family.
