The Saskia Laroo Quintet Workshop Date: 10th December 2007

The Parent Teacher Association of Sharada Mandir in association with The Spirit of Goa Charitable Trust organized The Heritage Jazz Workshop. It was conducted by The Trumpet Queen Saskia Laroo along with her Quintet Warren Byrd on Piano, Philippe Lemm on drums, William Sebastien on beatbox and Daniel Gueli on bass.
Students from Sharada Mandir School and Sunshine School attended the 3 hours workshop that was held on the 10th december 2007 at Gonsalves Mansion,Courtyard, Campal Panjim, Goa
The Basic Theme of the workshop was about the instruments that the group played i.e. piano ,bass, drums, trumpet & beatbox
The workshop started off with a Jazz number that was performed for the show on the 8th & 9th of December 07. Later each member in the band introduced their instruments to the students and even allowed them to have a feel of it. The students had a great time with the band members and gained sound knowledge regarding the instruments and how to put the music together.

Basic Theme of the workshop: was about the instruments that the group plays, and how the music is put together. There was a Jazz song and one of the pieces from the concert program to demonstrate.
